Hope y’all had fun celebrating Labor day yesterday… 

Well, today’s email is about making more income with less labor

Whether you’re a copywriter or entrepreneur… have you ever had to fire your clients? (in a nice way of course). 

If you’ve been in business for a while, chances are that you would have your fair encounter with bad clients. 

Today, I’d like to share with you one of the biggest red flags a client can show.

I’ll start with my very own story.

Last month, there was a prospect who came to me for a copywriting project.

And when I gave him my base quote… he was like…

“It’s too much bro… not within what I’m willing to pay tbh.” 

After some negotiation back and forth, despite removing certain deliverables… he was like:

“I still find the price over bro.

Since we have worked together before… 

Can we do $100 per long-form article?

“Bro, I don’t need you to do research etc… I will provide you with the angle and all. 

I know what I want… I just need your copywriting only. 

You don’t have to do anything else. 

How much time/effort can it cost you?”

At this point I got pissed off and fired him outright.

No disrespect to the prospect but based on his tone and line of negotiation it seems like he was looking for the cheapest.

And that’s totally fine.

Personally, I don’t like to work with clients like that… 

Because clients who look for the cheapest typically give me the most problems. 

These are typically clients who don’t pay for your value…

And hence, you might find yourself spending extra time educating your client on certain processes and ideas (which is completely unnecessary

It makes more sense to FIRE these clients and do something else.

If you’re a copywriter, coach or a consultant, it makes more sense to do something else that’s much more profitable other than just doing client work.
